GRASS VALLEY WALK

START/FINISH: Lacamas Swim & Sport, 2950 NW 38th Avenue; Camas, Washington.
TIMES: Start any time between 9am - 1pm; Finish by 4pm.
DISTANCE and RATING: Total 10k distance in two loops: a 4k loop (rated 1B) and 6k loop (rated 3B).
TRAIL DESCRIPTION: 6k loop is on scenic hills through neighborhoods to the south of start point. 4k loop is very flat and mostly on gravel paths behind homes and beside wetlands to the north.
HATPIN: "B" awards and prior events' hatpins will be available.
FEES: AVA Credit Only is $3; AWW club members are $2. No refunds. Non-credit walkers are welcome to participate at no charge. All must register, carry, and return a start card.
COMFORT: Water and restrooms at registration, checkpoint, and along the route. Leashed pets permitted with proper cleanup. Strollers may have difficulty. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
WALK CHALLENGES: ESVA: All Clubs; Clark County; Womb to Tomb. AVA: Take a Walk in a City Park; Walk the USA - Street by Street, Walking the USA A-Z, You'll Never Walk Alone.
NEW WALKERS: This event is part of the AVA Achievement Awards Program. Participants can earn event and/or distance credits, then redeem completed books for a certificate, patch, and hatpin after certain milestones are achieved. Special New Walker Packets, including discount coupons at a bargain price, will be available at the registration table.
ELIGIBILITY: This event is sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association, a member of the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV), and counts toward the acquisition of IVV achievement awards. Everyone is welcome to participate. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

By registering for this event, each participant agrees to accept the guidelines for Volkssport events published by the American Volkssport Association (AVA) and to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. This event will be held regardless of weather; adverse weather may increase the rating.
DIRECTIONS: In Vancouver, from either I-5 or I-205 take SR-14 freeway East to Exit 10, 192nd Avenue. Turn Left (North). Right on 20th Street, which becomes 38th Avenue. After you pass Parker Street, LaCamas Swim & Sport will be on your Right. Volkswalk signs will be posted.
